The Heber Solar PV Project in Imperial County, California, has a 20-year contract to provide power to the Imperial Irrigation District, an investment-grade utility that provides electric serice and irrigation water. With a capacity of 10 megawatts, Heber is expected to produce nearly 28,000 MWh of clean solar energy in its first year of operation. RET’s acquisition of the cash-grant-eligible project utilized additional funding in the form of senior debt with KeyBank.
